1.f4 I have never seen Bill play anyhting but 1.e4 in the opening, so I thought I knew what he was going to play. Good thing I didn't have much time to prepare or I would have been extremely dissapointed.

5.Be2 e5 6.O-O Ngf6 7.d3!? While it follows the plan of keeping the game closed, 7. d4 attempting to rip apart the center might have been a better plan.
7...Qb6+ 8.Kh1 Ng4 9.Qe1 Ne3 10.Bxe3 Qxe3 Fritz agrees with this line of play.

Round 2 [Annotated by Andy Voss]

1.e4 g6 2.Nf3 Bg7 3.d4 c6 4.c3 d5 5.exd5 cxd5 6.Be2 Nc6 7.O-O Bg4 8.h3 Bxf3 9.Bxf3 Qd6 10.Na3 It looks here like white doesn't have a strong advantage, but 10.Na3 was much stronger that I thought.
10...a6?! 11.Qb3 O-O-O 12.Nc2?! Tit for tat. This really hands away the initiative. Development was key here.
12...e5? This move looks a lot scarier that it actually is. Black's king is exposed. The pieces need to come and attack it.
13.c4 e4 14.cxd5 exf3 15.dxc6 Qxc6 16.gxf3? As bad as 12...e5 was, this gives Black counterplay. 16. Bg5 opening [c1] for the rook is probably best.
16...Qd5 17.Qxd5 Rxd5 Black has the better position and pawn structure, but White has an extra pawn.
18.Be3 Nh6 19.Rac1 Rh5 20.Bxh6? Oh, no. This bishop was doing a really great job. Now, even though White has an extra pawn, Black can probably mop up with the bishop.
20...Bxh6 21.Ne3+ Kd7 22.Kg2 Re8 23.Rc3 Bf4 This is really just to re-centralize and keep the pressure on the White king. Maybe if I can get my other rook on h6, I can hope for checkmate or a blown open kingside.
24.Ng4 Re6 25.Rc5 f6?! Why?! Just take the rook and play Kc6.
26.Rxh5?! Yikes. Now the knight will be in bad shape. Black takes control because of this error.
26...gxh5 27.d5 Just move the knight to e3 and trade to a complicated "slow death" endgame.
27...Rb6 28.Ne3 Rxb2 29.Re1 Rxa2 30.Nc4 b5 31.Nb6+ Kc7 32.Re6 Be5 Why? the whole point of the bishop being on f4 was to stop the pawns.
33.Rc6+ He doesn't play f4. Maybe after the king moves?
33...Kb7 34.Nd7 Nope. Fritz's second best, but White has a really hard game.
34...Bd4 35.Nxf6 Rxf2+ 36.Kg3 h4+ 37.Kg4 Rg2+ 38.Kxh4? The last mistake. The king is now too far out of the game to make a difference.
38...Rg6 39.Nxh7 Rxc6 40.dxc6+ Kxc6 41.f4 b4 42.f5 b3 43.f6 b2 44.f7 Bc5 45.f8=Q Bxf8 46.Nxf8 b1=Q 47.Ng6 Qe4+ 48.Kg3 Qxg6+ 49.Kh2 a5 50.Kh1 Qc2
